The first year we moved to the Hollow, we found a local Christmas tree farm, Walsh Tree Farm. It's a family business, and there are generations of the Walsh family working there during the season. They have a cozy, little building with a roaring fireplace, loads of adorable Christmas decor, and hot chocolate. They offer pre-cut and you-cut trees. They have horse-drawn wagon rides. People have been carrying out holiday traditions for decades. It's the official start of the Season when we pick out our tree and tie it to the top of the car. We also get an ornament from their shop every year. It's one of our favorite parts of the Season: sweet Fraser Fir wafting on freezing, country-fresh air. Ten we bring it home along with a second one just for the goats to snack on, they love it! We put it in the pasture and they start Rockin' Around the Christmas tree!
