Cathy Tilton (she's named after Jeff's mom)is a goat that absolutely adores flowers! (She also keeps Chad hat on straight because he can't manage too...she fixes it EVERY day!) She knew right away when we asked her to develop an extra special moisturizing salve that it would have to have at least one kind of Flower!
She infused dandelions from the farm (we left plenty for the bees) with a blend of oils, goat milk, and shea butter for a nourishing salve.
Dandelion is said to have anti-aging benefits for the skin. Dandelion extract is said to help to nourish the skin by reducing fine lines and wrinkles, and toning unbalanced skin.
Goat milk is rich in vitamins A, C, and E which are said to be powerful antioxidants. They help protect the skin from free radical damage, keeping the skin healthier and looking younger. These vitamins have the combined benefits of encouraging healthy skin cell production.
Dandelions are also said to be Anti-Inflammatory
In traditional medicine the sap that exudes from the flower stem has been used to treat warts, age spots, and other small skin inflammations like bug bites and pimples
She managed to work in another flower and added Sunflower oil: sunflower oil is said to be a great source of vitamin E, rich in nutrients and antioxidants, and effective for combatting skincare issues like acne, inflammation, general redness and irritation of the skin. Sunflower oil has emollient properties that may help the skin retain its moisture
